CNN —A recount reconfirmed that GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert defeated Democrat Adam Frisch in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, the Colorado secretary of state said this week. Boebert received 50.06% of the final vote total, while Frisch received 49.89%, Secretary of State Jena Griswold said in a news release Monday. The net change in votes gave Frisch an additional vote, while Boebert lost three votes. Frisch conceded the race last month, but there was an automatic recount done by the Colorado secretary of state’s office. Boebert, a political newcomer in 2020, upset Rep. Scott Tipton in a GOP primary that year.

Adam Frisch conceded to Rep. Lauren Boebert on Friday, despite the race not being called. Boebert also declared victory, saying that she was "certain" she would win even with a recount. No major media network has yet called the race, which was not expected to be competitive until the surprisingly close results began rolling in on election night. Despite the results not being called yet, Frisch said on Facebook live Friday that he called Boebert to concede the race to her, adding that the chances of him winning were "very small." It'd be disingenuous and unethical for us or any other group to continue to raise false hope and encourage fundraising for a recount," Frisch said during his concession speech.
